Dealing with failure
It is not easy to put setbacks, failures, or defeats behind you and to get up, go on, and make the next time better. Those who do nothing make no mistakes. Errors happen everywhere and can serve well as a source of learning. Suppression is a common but less effective strategy. Failure and setbacks are part of life. It’s only about how you deal with it. Accepting that something has not turned out as expected or desired is the beginning of grasping this experience as an opportunity. Learn that defeats do not gnaw at one’s self-esteem, but that you and your employees will be able to react confidently and reflectively to setbacks.
